Directed by legendary filmmaker David Lean, Doctor Zhivago is one of cinema's greatest romantic epics – a sweeping masterpiece of love, war, and revolution.

Omar Sharif stars as Yuri Zhivago, a sensitive poet and physician whose life is transformed by the turmoil of World War I and the Russian Revolution. Although married to the devoted Tonya, Yuri falls deeply in love with the beautiful Lara (Julie Christie), whose destiny becomes inseparably intertwined with his own.

As the Russian Empire collapses and civil war tears the country apart, Yuri faces impossible choices between love, family, and survival. From revolution-filled streets and dramatic train journeys to the breathtaking frozen landscapes of Russia, history unfolds on an epic scale while ordinary lives are changed forever.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Boris Pasternak, Doctor Zhivago is a five-time Academy Award-winning masterpiece featuring unforgettable performances by Omar Sharif, Julie Christie, Geraldine Chaplin, Rod Steiger, and Alec Guinness.
