Best friends Derek and Clif set out on the trip of a lifetime, determined to travel the world and live every moment to the fullest. Their journey begins with excitement, parties and new experiences – until everything changes overnight.

Derek starts showing strange symptoms that quickly become more severe. His body and behavior begin to change in ways neither man can explain. Thousands of miles from home, the friends desperately try to discover the source of the mysterious affliction before it consumes Derek completely.

Footage originally intended to preserve their travel memories becomes a record of something increasingly horrifying – and perhaps evidence of a discovery no one was ever meant to see.

Written and directed by Clif Prowse and Derek Lee, Afflicted combines found-footage filmmaking, horror and thriller elements into an intense survival story.
