A series of bizarre and unexplained deaths strikes a small English village. A Scotland Yard detective and a curious American photographer begin investigating, with the trail eventually leading to the mysterious Professor Robert Miles.

Miles possesses the psychic ability to communicate with the spirits of the dead – and his black cat appears to have a terrifying connection to the deaths taking place around the village. The animal soon becomes an instrument of revenge against those who have wronged its master.

Directed by Italian horror master Lucio Fulci, The Black Cat (Gatto nero) is an atmospheric and macabre interpretation inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's classic story.
