The Dragon Tamers Blu ray

Tuotekuvaus:

Before becoming an internationally acclaimed action filmmaker, John Woo directed energetic Asian martial arts adventures! The Dragon Tamers (1975) is an early action film from the legendary director, following a young Chinese martial arts student who becomes involved in a dangerous conflict between Korean fighting schools and a ruthless criminal organisation.

A young Chinese martial arts student travels to Korea with the ambition of improving his fighting skills and studying taekwondo.

Eager to learn new techniques and experience a different martial arts tradition, he hopes to train under local masters.

However, his journey takes an unexpected and dangerous turn when he encounters a vicious gang determined to control the region's martial arts schools.

The gang demands that every local school join its organisation, threatening those who refuse to cooperate.

The young fighter soon discovers that remaining uninvolved is no longer an option. He must put his training to the test and stand against the criminals threatening the independence of the schools.

What follows is a series of dangerous confrontations, powerful opponents and martial arts battles.

Written and directed by John Woo, The Dragon Tamers offers a fascinating glimpse into the filmmaker's early career, long before his internationally celebrated Hong Kong action classics.

The cast includes James Tien, Carter Wong, Han Jae Ji, Wei Yang, Chen Chuan and Yi-Hsiung Chi.

This UK 88 Films Limited Edition Blu-ray presents the film in 1080p high definition with Mandarin and English LPCM 2.0 mono soundtracks.

The release includes reversible cover artwork and collectible physical extras, with a slipcover included in the original pressing.

An appealing addition to any John Woo collection or classic Asian martial arts film library!
