Grizzly Man Blu ray

Tuotekuvaus:

Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man (2005) is an extraordinary and deeply unsettling documentary exploring humanity's relationship with the natural world, obsession and the dangerous belief that humans can live peacefully alongside some of nature's most powerful predators.

Timothy Treadwell was an American wildlife preservationist and self-taught grizzly bear expert who devoted much of his life to protecting the bears of Alaska.

For thirteen summers, Treadwell travelled to Alaska's Katmai National Park and lived unarmed among wild grizzly bears. During his final five summers, he filmed his experiences, capturing remarkable footage of the animals and his encounters with them.

Treadwell believed he shared a unique connection with the bears. He became an outspoken advocate for their protection, appeared on television and educated thousands of schoolchildren about wildlife conservation.

In October 2003, his extraordinary story ended in tragedy when he and his girlfriend, Amie Huguenard, were killed by a grizzly bear in the Alaskan wilderness.

Acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog uses Treadwell's remarkable footage to explore the complicated relationship between humans and nature.

Was Treadwell a courageous conservationist who dedicated his life to protecting the animals he loved, or a dangerously misguided idealist whose actions ultimately led to tragedy?

Grizzly Man is a haunting, moving and thought-provoking documentary about the beauty and brutality of nature, the limits of human understanding and the search for meaning.
