The devious Dr. Who builds a gigantic robotic Kong to retrieve a highly radioactive element for his mysterious benefactor, Madame X. When Mechani-Kong proves unreliable, they devise an even more audacious plan – kidnapping the real King Kong from his remote island home of Mondo.

Standing in their way are Commander Carl Nelson, Lieutenant Jiro Nomura and Lieutenant Susan Miller, who has captured Kong's attention. Their adventure ultimately leads to an enormous confrontation between Kong and his mechanical counterpart, with Tokyo caught in the middle.

Directed by Ishirō Honda, King Kong Escapes! is a colorful Japanese sci-fi adventure combining giant monsters, robots and classic King Kong spectacle.
