Torgny Wickman's Swedish 1970 cult comedy Kyrkoherden arrives on Blu-ray from Klubb Super 8!

During a seventeenth-century witch trial, a woman is accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake. Before her death, she curses the village priest responsible for the accusations and promises that her descendants will one day take revenge.

Years later, the priest's son takes over as vicar of the congregation. The old curse has not been forgotten, however, and the witch's daughter casts a spell on the new vicar that leaves him with an extremely embarrassing and persistent physical problem.

The situation quickly descends into absurdity as the local women attempt to help the unfortunate vicar break the curse and set things right.

Directed by Torgny Wickman, Kyrkoherden – also known internationally as The Lustful Vicar and The Naughty Vicar – combines period comedy, farce and the distinctly Swedish sex-comedy tradition of the era.

The film stars Jarl Borssén, Margit Carlqvist, Magali Noël, Diana Kjær, Solveig Andersson and John Elfström.

This Klubb Super 8 Blu-ray presents the film in 1080p, its original 2.39:1 aspect ratio, and with a Swedish LPCM 2.0 Mono soundtrack. The original pressing includes a slipcover.
