Teppo (Peter Franzén) is a neo-Nazi whose life is shaped by extremist beliefs, violence and prejudice. Everything changes when he falls in love with Sari (Laura Birn), a single mother with a Black son.
Love forces Teppo to confront his own contradictions and question the values that have defined his identity. Breaking away from his past proves difficult, however, as his brother Harri (Jasper Pääkkönen) and former associates refuse to accept his transformation.
Directed by Dome Karukoski and written by Aleksi Bardy, Heart of a Lion is a powerful Finnish drama exploring love, racism, hatred and the possibility of personal change.
