Eddie Murphy delivers a hilarious performance as Dr. Sherman Klump, a kindhearted but severely overweight genetics professor who dreams of losing weight and winning the heart of a beautiful woman.
When Sherman develops an experimental weight-loss formula and tests it on himself, the results are extraordinary. He transforms into Buddy Love, a confident, smooth-talking ladies' man who is everything the shy professor has always wanted to be.
But Buddy's outrageous personality soon begins to take over Sherman's life. Can Sherman control his wild alter ego before it's too late, or will Buddy have the last laugh?
