Over Your Dead Body (2014) Blu ray

Tuotekuvaus:

When a terrifying story performed on stage begins to invade real life, escaping the nightmare becomes increasingly difficult. Over Your Dead Body (2014) is a haunting Japanese psychological horror film directed by cult filmmaker Takashi Miike, exploring the disturbing boundaries between performance, obsession and reality.

A group of actors is preparing a stage production based on a classic Japanese ghost story.

As rehearsals progress, however, the events depicted in the play begin to develop unsettling connections with the performers' personal lives.

The dark emotions, troubled relationships and horrifying events unfolding on stage no longer seem confined to the theatre.

Gradually, the boundary between fiction and reality begins to disappear.

The actors find it increasingly difficult to separate their characters' experiences from their own lives, as the sinister atmosphere of the production follows them beyond the stage.

What initially appears to be an ordinary theatrical rehearsal becomes a disturbing experience in which the story's terrifying elements seem to take on a life of their own.

Director Takashi Miike creates an unsettling atmosphere through psychological tension, striking imagery and an increasingly oppressive sense of dread.

Over Your Dead Body combines traditional Japanese ghost-story themes with contemporary psychological horror, creating a distinctive and deeply disturbing cinematic experience.

The film stars Kô Shibasaki, Maiko, Ebizô Ichikawa, Hideaki Itô, Toshie Negishi and Hiroshi Katsuno.

This UK 88 Films Standard Edition Blu-ray presents the film in 1080p high definition with Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 soundtracks.

An English LPCM 2.0 soundtrack, English subtitles and reversible cover artwork are also included.

A compelling addition to any Takashi Miike collection or library of Japanese psychological horror!
