Tuotekuvaus:

Burt Reynolds directs and stars in Sharky's Machine (1981), a hard-hitting American crime thriller where organised crime, political corruption and the dangerous streets of Atlanta collide in a deadly investigation.

Tom Sharky is an experienced narcotics detective working for the Atlanta Police Department. After a drug bust goes disastrously wrong, he finds himself demoted to the vice squad.

What initially appears to be a humiliating career setback soon leads Sharky into an investigation far more dangerous than anything he expected.

While working his new assignment, Sharky uncovers a Mafia-related murder with disturbing connections to powerful figures in government.

As the investigation deepens, he discovers a criminal conspiracy that reaches far beyond the city's underworld.

Determined to bring those responsible to justice, Sharky assembles a team of overlooked and disillusioned investigators who become known as Sharky's Machine.

Together, they launch an uncompromising operation to expose the leaders of the criminal network, even as the dangers surrounding them continue to escalate.

Directed by and starring Burt Reynolds, Sharky's Machine blends gritty police drama, film noir-inspired suspense and explosive action into a distinctive 1980s crime thriller.

The impressive supporting cast includes Vittorio Gassman, Brian Keith, Charles Durning, Earl Holliman and Bernie Casey.
