Deep in the Florida Everglades, brilliant scientist Dr. Alec Holland and government agent Alice Cable are developing a revolutionary formula that could potentially end world hunger.

Their groundbreaking research attracts the attention of the ruthless villain Arcane, who plans to steal the serum for his own sinister purposes.

When Arcane's henchmen raid the laboratory, kidnap Alice and expose Holland to his own experimental chemicals, the scientist undergoes a horrifying transformation.

Presumed dead, Holland emerges as Swamp Thing – a mysterious creature that is half human and half plant. Determined to rescue Alice and defeat Arcane, he embarks on a dangerous battle against the forces that destroyed his former life.

Directed by horror legend Wes Craven, Swamp Thing combines comic-book action, science fiction, creature-feature horror and unmistakable 1980s atmosphere.
